James Yap

James Yap is a lawyer specializing in the human rights accountability of multinational business. He is Acting Director of the International Human Rights Program at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and Adjunct Professor of international human rights law at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. He is experienced in litigating cases to apply international human rights law standards to the activities of multinational business. He has a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University (where he graduated with the Silver Medal) and an LLM from Yale Law School. After law school, he clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada for Justice Ian Binnie.
