Linda Sheehan

Linda Sheehan is an attorney who guides philanthropic efforts to protect waterways, forests, and promote the rights of nature. She co-founded Earth Law Center, where she advanced nature’s rights globally; was Senior Counsel to the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation; and led other environmental NGOs to protect ecosystem health. Linda has been Earth Prosecutor for two International Tribunals and two regional Tribunals, and she has extensive experience publishing and speaking on rights of nature, including a TEDx on climate rights. For her work, Linda was recognized as a California Coastal Hero. She holds degrees in chemical engineering from MIT, and public policy and law from U.C. Berkeley.
