Activista, escritora, profesora universitaria y ha sido Congresista de la República de Perú por la coalición de izquierda Frente Amplio (2020-2021). En 2006 se doctoró en Literatura por la Universidad de Boston, también es diplomada en Género y graduada en Derecho y Ciencia Política. Ha sido consultora en temas de derechos humanos, género y conflictos ecoterritoriales para UNICEF, OXFAM, Red Muqui, DIAKONIA, IWGIA, Terre des Hommes, entre otras. Entre 2011 – 2015 tuvo a su cargo la dirección ejecutiva de la Coordinadora Nacional de Derechos Humanos de Perú. Ha publicado y editado más de 20 libros de ficción, periodismo y académicos, el último es Indigenous Women and Climate Change (IWGIA 2020). Es profesora principal de la Universidad Ruiz de Montoya y TPA de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.

Activist, writer, university professor and former Congresswoman of the Republic of Peru, representing the left-wing coalition Frente Amplio (2020-2021). In 2006 she obtained a doctorate in Literature from Boston University, and holds a Bachlor’s degree in Gender Studies and a Master’s in Law and Political Science. She has been a consultant on issues related to human rights, gender and eco-territorial conflicts for UNICEF, OXFAM, Red Muqui, DIAKONIA, IWGIA, and Terre des Hommes, among others. Between 2011 – 2015 she was the executive director of the National Human Rights Coordination of Peru. She has published and edited more than 20 fiction, journalism, and academic books, the latest being Indigenous Women and Climate Change (IWGIA 2020). She is a professor at the Ruiz de Montoya University and the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
