Nancy Yañez

Nancy Yañez is a lawyer and has a master’s degree in International Law with a mention in Human Rights and a PhD in Law (her thesis was on the Chilean model of water in 2014). She was a collaborator of the Commission on Historical Truth and New Treatment of Indigenous Peoples (2003), integrating the Special Commission on Indigenous Peoples and the Ministry of National Assets. Nancy has written several books and publications on the rights of indigenous, territorial and water peoples. She is currently director of the Center for Human Rights and the Center for Interculturality and Law of the Faculty of Law of Universidad de Chile.
